The Swedish metals, mining, and smelting company will put some 40-container-big freight volume onto the Rönnskär-Helsingborg shuttle for weekly overseas exports via the also Swedish seaport.
The heavy and custom-sized cargo will require precise and safe loading into each container. Dalshult has partnered with MariTerm, a cargo securing specialist, to develop a special lashing tailored to the product's loading requirements.
"Boliden's expansion with an entirely new container flow within the existing logistics chain creates stability for our operations and strengthens our position in port logistics," said Thomas Palsson, Production Manager, Dalshult (his company will employ two people full-time following the additional cargo flow from Boliden).
Jan Astlin, Senior Sourcing Manager Logistics, Boliden, added, "It was important for us to establish a new partnership with Dalshult when they took over logistics operations at the port. Helsingborg is a key destination for us with a well-established setup via the shuttle service."
