Two electric mobile harbour cranes of the LHM 550 model have left Liebherr's factory in the Port of Rostock and are heading to the Indian Vizag Port.
There, Green Energy Resources will deploy the brand-new machinery at its EQ1A berth.
The LHM 550s feature a four-rope configuration, a 124-tonne safe working load, electric drives, and integrated overpressure units to protect components from abrasive dust and humidity.
"The cranes' modular control systems and intuitive interfaces simplify operator training and maintenance planning, key factors in maintaining uptime in high-throughput environments. This added versatility supports the company's ability to respond to shifting market demands and seasonal cargo flows without compromising service levels," the manufacturer highlighted in a press brief.
Siddharth Saxena, Founder & Director, Green Energy Resources, commented on this first-time purchase from Liebherr, "We are pleased to partner with Liebherr for this important investment. The new cranes will allow us to improve turnaround times and meet the growing demands of our customers with greater efficiency and reliability."
Green Energy Resources handles over 3.5 million tonnes of dry bulk annually.
