The 14-day crossing to/from the Norwegian seaport in Tromsø operated by Egil Ulvan Rederi's Oddrun With has swapped its port of call in Denmark from Hantsholm to Hirtshals.
The 2022-built, gas-run, battery-equipped Oddrun With is 86-metre long and 20-m-wide, with a deadweight of 5,285 tonnes. Her main deck crane offers 120-tonne lifts at 12 metres of outreach (50t at a maximum outreach of 26.5 m). The side-port loading system has a 9.0-m opening for various general cargo lifts, including palletised.
The vessel uses the cold energy from liquefied natural gas (LNG) for the refrigeration machinery. "LNG is stored liquid at a temperature of minus 150-160°C; this cold reservoir is utilised in the cargo holds' cooling system when LNG is evaporated to be used in the propulsion engine," shares Egil Ulvan Rederi.
