The memorandum of understanding is aimed at supporting the development of offshore wind energy (OWE) logistics in Finland and the Gulf of Bothnia.
"By combining the Port of Raahe's infrastructure ambitions with Buss Ports' experience from more than 15 years of offshore wind marshalling and terminal operations, we are creating a strong foundation for future developments," Buss Ports underscored in a press briefing.
The co-op coincides with the opening of the Deep Quay 3 at the Finnish seaport, featuring 173 metres of berthing length and a 40-metre wide yard for storing OWE components.
The investment forms part of the Bothnia Wind complex, an infrastructure project centred on the Port of Raahe tasked with turning it into an OWE logistics hub.
