On 6 September, the 316 m-long MSC Meraviglia was the first cruise ship in history to berth at the Port of Kapellskär, one of the three harbours within the Ports of Stockholm port authority.
The vessel, able to take up to 5,700 guests on-board, arrived at the Swedish port from Oslo before heading to Tallinn the same day in the evening.
In total, the Stockholm region is expecting to host 276 ships with 650k passengers during this year's cruise season. The majority will call at the capital port; however, 34 calls are scheduled for Nynäshamn.
