The ferry line has entrusted the Chinese Jinling Shipyard with the delivery of a brand-new ro-pax, scheduled for delivery in 2022.

The GT 45k-big Green Ship will be 230 m-long and 31 m-wide, offering room for up to 866 passengers as well as 4,600 lane metres of cargo space.

She'll be a dual-fuel ferry, primarily sailing on liquefied natural gas. According to TT-Line, the newbuilding's emission footprint will be over 50% lower than the company's previous generation of ro-paxes.

The deal with Jinling includes an option for another vessel.
