Destination Gotland's €160m-worth newbuild, a 200 m-long and 32 m-wide ro-pax running on liquefied natural gas (LNG), went out on her first round trip between Visby and Nynäshamn on 28 March.
The ferry offers room for up to 1,650 passengers as well as 1,750 lane metres of cargo capacity.
Visborg will be supplied with LNG by the Hamburg-based Nauticor following a contract signed back at the beginning of 2018. The first bunkering was carried out in Visby with the use of the also brand-new 7,500 m3-big LNG bunker supply vessel Kairos.
The Chinese Guangzhou Shipyard International will deliver Visborg's sister ship in the near future. She'll serve the same route.
