The works, to be carried out by STRABAG, will cover 200 m of the port infrastructure in question and will include extending it by four metres towards the sea with the use of a pile wall.
The pile wall will be capped with reinforced concrete as well as have an openwork structure to reduce the swell in the port fairway.
The investment is part of a larger project, worth approx. €124.5m (incl. EU support of about €61m), aimed at making it possible for Baltmax vessels (400 m-long, 58 m-wide, and 15 m-draft) to call to Gdynia.
