Kombiverkehr has launched a new intermodal service between Duisburg and Malmö, running two weekly round trips since 2 September 2026.
The company has already announced that it'll double the frequency in January 2027.
"A special feature of this new service is the direct rail connection without ferry transport. This provides customers with climate-friendly rail transport for their goods and merchandise via Denmark, even on long-distance routes. One example is seamless transport from Barcelona via Duisburg and Malmö to Stockholm or Hallsberg with just one booking," Kombiverkehr highlighted in a press briefing.
