Ferus Smit has floated Nordic Crystal in its shipyard in the German Leer, the first in a series of two new dry bulk carriers.

The 99.99 by 13.35 m, 6,380 dwt, 1A ice-class vessel offers 245k cubic feet of carrying capacity spread across two holds.

The Swedish shipping company will take hold of Nordic Crystal in May 2022 while of her sister ship - by March 2023. Both will serve traffic in the Baltic.

Nordic Crystal is the 40th ship of Erik Thun put together with Ferus Smit.
