Hyundai Heavy Industries has floated out the 174k m3 capacity liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, the first ordered by Knutsen OAS Shipping for long-term charter by PGNiG.
Lech Kaczynski will probably start working for the Polish oil & gas extraction & production company by year-end.
The vessel will be joined by the sister ship Grazyna Gesicka in 2023. PGNiG will charter the vessels for ten years.
Apart from them, PGNiG will take in four other LNG carriers of similar capacity from Knutsen OAS Shipping, plus two from Maran Gas.
In addition, the Polish company has chartered three 160k m3 carriers, with the first already working for PGNiG. The remaining pair will join later this year.
