The German Baltic seaport took hold of a rubber-tyred Mantsinen 120 Hybrilift crane, said to be 35% more energy efficient than a corresponding fossil fuel-only gear.
According to the owners, it's the first such Mantsinen deployed in a German seaport.
The Port of Wismar underlined on its LinkedIn profile:
"As a pioneer in the industry, we demonstrate that power, precision, and sustainability can go hand in hand at the Port of Wismar. This is a huge step forward, not only for us but for the entire maritime industry in Germany."
