The Finnish energy company has shifted its diesel and gasoline transports between the company's refinery in Gothenburg and Malmö, with Green Cargo transporting it by rail.
In the latter, a newly built transhipment facility handles the liquid goods (two-three times per week now, up to four/week as of December 2025).
Some 182,000 tonnes of diesel and gasoline are expected to be carried by Green Cargo from Gothenburg to Malmö in 2026.
The Swedish national rail haulier also transports St1's output from Gothenburg to Jönköping (five times/week) and to Karlstad (four/week). According to Björn Nordh, Senior Sales Specialist at Green Cargo, St1 is the only fuel company that transports its products by rail in Sweden.
