The overall decrease is a result of a 42.2% year-on-year drop in the turnover of dry bulk, down to 785.9kt, as both general cargo (+5.0% yoy to 2.08mt) and liquid bulk (+8.0% yoy to 4.58mt) rose.
While liquid bulk marked a decrease of 11.6% year-on-year to 458kt, both the turnover of general cargo and dry bulk rose last year, by 18.5% yoy to 729kt and by 45.5% yoy to 128kt, respectively.
While the turnover of dry bulk advanced by 3.3% year-on-year to a total of 4.73mt, the handling of both general cargo (8.87mt) and liquid bulk (3.32mt) contracted - by 0.2% yoy and 8.4% yoy, respectively.
While the turnover of both liquids and general cargo went down, by 3.0% year-on-year to 10.18mt and by 6.6% yoy to 2.48mt, respectively, the handling of dry bulk rose by 8.6% yoy to 7.80mt.
Both exports and exports going through the Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (CTSP) rose last year, by 4.1% year-on-year to 388,960 TEUs and by 6.1% yoy to 369,650 TEUs, respectively.
