The Mariehamn-based shipping company has purchased for its subsidiary Trailer-Link the ro-ro Transporter from Eckerö Shipping (also seated in the Ålandic town).
The 1,263-lane metre freighter is chartered by DFDS and links the Oslo Fjord with Zeebrugge and Immingham. Transporter's charter extends till December 2026, with an option to prolong it.
In the meantime, Godby Shipping will charter Mistral, currently employed by Lakeway Link on the Gdynia-Södertälje crossing (until January 2026), to Stena Line. The Swedish ferry company will put the 1,624-lane metre ro-ro between Harwich and Rotterdam after Mistral's dry-docking in Remontowa shipyard in Poland in early next year.
