The Finnish seaport, until recently designated as a Comprehensive Port of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) of the European Union, is now a Core Port.
The Swedish shipowner entrusted the Dutch shipbuilder Ferus Smit with delivering two multipurpose vessels of the Lake Vänern Max class and two coastal tankers within the R-Class family.
The two have signed an offtake agreement, according to which Gasum will buy the entire output of Nordic Ren-Gas' Tampere Power-to-Gas plant, set for launch in 2026.
